"The Diary of Pelly D is a well written, entrancing book which draws the reader into two worlds - that of the future (Pelly's world) and that of the past (our own). The book lulls us into the false sense that this is simply the story of a spoiled rich girl but with each turn of the page we become gradually and frighteningly aware that her life - and society as a whole - is being led down a dark and dangerous path. As her situation becomes more desperate her character evokes more sympathy and admiration. Like Toni V, I could not put the book down. As the parallels to our own history became more and more clear to me my anguish for Pelly became very real indeed. It is a story which feeds our imagination and raises our awareness of our own human tragedies. As time inevitable carries the history of WWII further into the past, L.J. Adlington's book ensures that present and future generations will continue to be aware of that history - and hopefully learn valuable lessons from it. A wonderful and important book! "

Welcome
Welcome to Jermaine Si's group blog for EL Performance Task! We are doing about Pelly D (obivious everyone in class is doing it! )
